 The cousins were able to get a couple of trips into a open free play gym. Rio loved it!

 Leavenworth is the best during Christmas. They light the whole town up with Holiday lights and decorations. I could spend hours there just walking around visiting all the cute little local artist shops. Mom (Noni) you would love love love it here!!!!

 Gabe and Adria did their own version of Elf on the Shelf for the girls. Cannot wait to do this for Rio next year!

Christmas Holiday Part l

December '12

 Rio's first Santa visit. It was so funny.. Poor Santa :)

 It is tradition for us all, Smarts & Gundersons, to go sledding at least once during the break. Rio absolutely loved it.

 Rio is a huge fan of dogs. He loves to be around them and watch them play. One day we will get him his own dog to grow up and bond with. 

Adria makes the stockings and Rio's was sooo cute! 

We love going to Washington for Holiday Break. It is always so peaceful and relaxing. Rio had a blast playing with his cousins, chasing all the dogs, going sledding, watching his cousins play soccer, sitting on santa's lap for the first time, and opening up presents. We stayed with Adria, Jade, Maddi, Sonny, and Bella. Thank you Adria for being such an amazing hostess!! Gabe, Adria and I had a Greys marathon every night.

Walking Man

November '12

We thought for sure this guy would be an early walker since he started "army" crawling at 6 months. But we were patient and let him do his thing and low and behold, he is a walking man now! 14 months. We are so happy and proud :) Good job Rio!!

Winter '12

It really is snowing.. lol! By the time I grabbed my camera, it stopped of course. Rio would look out the window, look at me, and then back out the window. Super cute and funny!

Holiday Randomness

 No doubt our Rio has basketball hands!

 I love how Rio can sleep through anything anywhere!

 Our sweet sweet Bella. Some days are better than others. We love her so much and are thankful for everyday we have with her. Rio adores Bella.

 This was a video. Once Rio found the doggie door, there was no stopping him. He goes in and out probably about 20x a day, no matter what the weather is like.

 Once we set up the x-mas tree, Rio just loved looking at it. Very happy about this. I am a big Christmas fan. Once November 1st comes, look out!!

This is my favorite time of year by far. I am always motivated and look forward to hopeful snowy days. It is nice too as this time slows down for Gabe a bit at the U, which gives us more family time together.
