Mississippi Spring Visit

Leah was amazing with Rio. She always wanted to hold him and play with him. She loved rubbing his  bald head.
We had a blast going to the park close to Court's house. Rio loved the swing.
 Loved tasting the swing...
 Big bubba.
Courtney made the best meals EVERY night. I was in heaven. I looked forward to dinner everyday!!
 Love my Aunt Chichi.
Rio was so excited to meet his cousins. He would just watch them play all day. He absolutely loved the tot walker Court had... so did Mom :)
Dodge is such a stud! He reminds me of Pedro... very sweet, good temperament, great with kids, barks at other dogs, and super funny.

Rio was not used to Mississippi heat. He took quite a few random  naps during the day whenever we would spend time outside.
Reached the stage where he likes to try and fit everything in his mouth.
 Rio loves his Noni!

First time Rio met his Popi. They bonded immediately. Rio knew there was something special about this guy.
 Best Friends.
Best picture out of the bunch. It took me a month or so to realize and accept that with baby pics, you just have to take what you can get!
My sweet Hunter. So proud of this kid.
Hunter is the most amazing uncle. He will be joining us soon here in Utah, and we are all soooo excited.
Cannot get enough of those baby blue eyes.
My tired boy.

Rio was really cute with Miss Maia. He could not figure out why she did not move and talk to him like his cousins. I got some fun videos of these two playing.

This trip was amazing. Gabe was in Italy while Rio and I were in Mississippi. It worked out well. It was so fun to watch Rio interact with his cousins, especially Maia. I was so happy to meet my sweet Maia for the first time. She is absolutely stunning. She was such a good baby. She loved to just chill in the swing. For our next baby, I want a swing like Courts! I really looked forward to nights hanging out with Courtney. We watched a bunch of Office episodes and chit chatted about everything. I am so lucky to have her and I cannot wait for them to move to Phoenix. It is only about 12 driving hours away. Gabe and I both travel to Phoenix a few times during the year for soccer, so we will have a bunch of fun mini visits. It was really hard to leave this trip. On any trip, you are ready to get home and get back to your own house and routine but I was quite sad to go and wish I could have stayed longer. There really is nothing better than spending your days with family and indulging in life's simple pleasures- being outside, going on walks, playing with the kids, swimming, good conversation, and being silly. Life is good!

7 Month Stats

Rio's personality has really started to come out this last month. He is a very chill baby.
Just hanging out with Auntie Ash
We get this face all the time.
 Baby model :)
 I love my mommies!
Drink Vita Coconut water... it's the best!
Rio adores Bella. Bella lets him hang out by her side, pull her tail, squeeze her ears, pinch her nose, and smack her face. She loves the attention!
 Happy Easter!
 Love you Noni and Popi.
I went out of the room for two seconds, and this is what I find when I come back. I immediately dropped the pac and play mattress to the bottom. Ahhh, he is growing up too fast!
Started eating my veggies.. organic of course :)

These last couple of months have been so fun watching Rio reach his little milestones. He is going to be a very active little boy! He has been crawling everywhere for the last few weeks. It started with a lunge about a month ago and he has not stopped since. He does a very impressive army crawl- occasionally he will get on his hands and knees, but since he has mastered getting around on his hands and legs, he is content with just that. Here are some little stats about our boy:
-Started calling him smiley because he always has a huge grin on his face.
-Loves all the dogs. Bella is his buddy, Lolita tolerates him, and Pedro is indifferent.
-Can lift himself up on objects.
-Will wake up in the morning and just talk to himself until his mommy is ready to get up :)
-Enjoys getting a bunch of attention from his Mommy's soccer players and moms on the team.
-Gets super excited when RJ and Parker come over to play. They treat him like a little brother- sing to him, read to him, and hold him.
-Recognizes his name, and thinks when his Mommy says Hi in a funny voice, it is the most hilarious thing ever.
-Does a pretty good job eating his rice cereal morning and night.
-Fake coughs
-Does not like to be on his back- especially when his diaper needs to be changed.
-Loves taking baths while splashing himself, and swimming from one end to the other, moving his legs like a frog.
-Occasionally still sucks his thumb. I love it, Gabe is not a big fan.
Our boy is doing great. We are really enjoying this time with him as his curiosity is growing, and world is getting more interesting.

Pics of the last few weeks...

Hello Everyone... mommy will do much better at posting pics every week :)

Rocking it in my puma jumpsuit.

Rio's friend Morgan, who will teach him how to be cool and tough.

We saw these red Disney Cars boots and could not resist!

Big boy holding up his baba with Auntie Jess.

Just chilling... Yes, Pedro is allowing Bella in his man cave while he guards a treasure.

Go Seahawks!

Sorry ladies, my mommies say I cannot date seriously until I am 21.

Mommy puts me on my back for naps but now I like to always turn over on my tummy. It makes her nervous, so even though she has tons to do while I nap, she gets stuff done in my room so she can keep her eye on me :)

My big brother Parker who always tells me he is going to teach me karate, football, baseball, and how to be a ninja!

 Love my Auntie Ash!

This was the face my mommy got to wake up to.

Rio has been doing great. We took him on his first plane ride to Phoenix last weekend. We were very nervous but it went well and it was nice to get out of the cold weather for the weekend. The first night Rio woke up every hour crying. Thankfully, we did not have an early game that morning! We found out that you should not only feed him or give him a paci during take off, but also during the decent. We thought we were in the clear by feeding him as we were leaving but were sorely mistaken! Look forward to applying this little trick when we go visit Court and the kiddies in a few weeks. A bit stressed to take Rio on a plan by myself for four hours. I plan on bringing lots of little toys and stocking up on bottles for the ride. It will be a fun story to tell :)

Pics of the week...
Think I'm cute, you should see my mommies!
 Not easily impressed
I have found it easier to take the dogs on a walk with Rio in his Bjorn, rather than in the stroller.
Rio loves his MomG. When she comes home from work, he will rest his head on her shoulder and either fall asleep or just hang out. So sweet!
Afternoon nap in the sun's rays.
Rio's nap in the morning lasts for 45min. Super short but when I put my mind to it, there is a lot I can get done.
 Best Buds!
 Will sing for milk
Wazz up

This past week has been great. Rio is growing so fast! We weighed him last night and he is fifteen pounds!! He is starting to smile more and recognize his mommies when he is with other people. It makes us feel really good :) Rio lets other people hold him and enjoys watching the dogs play all day long. His buddies RJ and Parker come over to play and he gets super excited when they pay attention to him and sing songs. Rio has been honing in to his rolling over and sitting up skills. He wants to crawl so bad. During tummy time, he moves his legs so fast and puts his head down like he wants to charge. He gets quite frustrated that nothing is happening- super funny. Will post videos soon.
